About The Position

Works under minimal supervision to maintain and repair hospital-owned equipment, including normal and emergency power distribution systems, automatic transfer switches, and generators. Performs skilled repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting and lighting controls, motor controls, and specialized hospital systems such as nurse call, public address, fire alarm, and building automation systems. The position may require flexible scheduling, including varying hours, days, and occasional weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least five years of experience as a journeyman electrician.
• Trade school, military service, or equivalent training.
• Current California driver's license.
• Current Journeyman Electrician Certification issued by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
• Knowledge of trade practices and electrical codes.
• Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Basic working knowledge of a Building Automation System (BAS).
• Computer skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as a problem solver.

• Journeyman electrician experience in a hospital setting.
