About The Position
The maintenance electrician C is to help and learn from the nightshift Maintenance Electrician on the various duties of Maintenance Electrician Worker C. The Maintenance Electrician C will be required to follow directions from the Maintenance Electrician A. Maintenance Electrician C will be trained on how to work on extension cords, light stringers, power tools, lights, receptacles, and power panels. They will be trained on how to work on the various equipment located in the shops, yards, and facilities. They will be trained on how to repair welding boxes, whips, gauging whips, and welding machines. Maintenance Electrician C will also be trained on the proper duties of P.M. Services on the equipment (grease, oil, blow cabinets, and check electrical terminals). The Maintenance Electrician C will be trained on the various other duties by the Maintenance Electrician A until he feels confident in his abilities to perform the task.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
Nice To Haves
- Some electrical experience.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to work from heights.
- Some knowledge of power tools.
Responsibilities
- Assist and learn from the nightshift Maintenance Electrician.
- Follow directions from Maintenance Electrician A.
- Be trained on working with extension cords, light stringers, power tools, lights, receptacles, and power panels.
- Be trained on working with various equipment in shops, yards, and facilities.
- Be trained on repairing welding boxes, whips, gauging whips, and welding machines.
- Be trained on P.M. Services for equipment (grease, oil, blow cabinets, and check electrical terminals).
- Perform other duties as assigned and trained by Maintenance Electrician A.
