Maintenance Director - Heritage

About The Position

The Maintenance Director manages and assists with day-to-day maintenance of the facility, equipment, and machinery. This includes HVAC, lighting systems, groundskeeping, and maintaining the overall appearance of the facility. The role also oversees preventive maintenance, repairs and facility modifications, contractor support, department spending and supplies, work orders, safety policies, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three or more years of related facility maintenance experience.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Demonstrated mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair abilities.
Knowledge of various building and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

Plan and complete facility modifications and equipment repairs.
Direct and ensure preventive maintenance of the facility, including HVAC and other facility equipment.
Arrange and manage third-party contractor support as needed, including requesting and reviewing cost estimates.
Oversee groundskeeping and the overall appearance of the facility.
Ensure facility compliance with annual State survey requirements for the building and grounds.
Complete department spend down and maintain budget compliance.
Develop and maintain department policies and procedures, including appropriate safety policies.
Order and maintain appropriate department supplies in a cost-effective and cost-efficient manner.
Ensure daily completion of all maintenance work orders and assist with tasks as needed.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA-related regulations.
Follow federal and state skilled nursing facility regulations and department policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
