About The Position
The Maintenance Crew Leader leads a maintenance route or crew and performs all Maintenance Level-III competencies. The role reports to the Account Manager and the client and is responsible for client communications and requests, crew performance evaluations, landscape and irrigation maintenance, reporting, and care of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Requirements
- English written and verbal communication skills for client requests and interactions.
- Plant identification competency at 75%.
- Lateral repair competency at 100%.
- Head adjustment and repair competency at 100%.
- Competence in water management, including soil-probe use, visual site review, and controller programming and remote use.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Responsibilities
- Lead a maintenance route or crew.
- Meet all Maintenance Level-III competencies and minimum standards.
- Handle written client requests in English and communicate verbally with clients in English.
- Process extra-work requests and work orders.
- Identify plants with 75% accuracy and demonstrate plant sensitivity.
- Conduct performance evaluations for crew members.
- Manage water using a soil probe and visual site review; program and use controllers, including remote use.
- Repair laterals and adjust or repair heads, each at 100% competency.
- Complete chemical-use, pest-control, and material-use reports, and process pest-control work orders.
- Identify diseases from the specified list.
- Maintain a safe driving record and take responsibility for vehicle inspections.
- Complete incident and vehicle accident reports.
- Maintain responsibility for tool and equipment inventory.
- Review and sign time cards.
