About The Position

We are looking for a talented Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader who enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish, working with great people outdoors, and having a fulfilling day's work. The ideal candidate has a "can do" attitude, can work collaboratively with diverse individuals, and has experience and aptitude for landscape maintenance. This role involves leading others, promoting a safe and efficient work environment, and demonstrating proactivity, dependability, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Prior landscaping experience preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Property Managers to ensure landscape maintenance at commercial properties is executed with excellence.
  • Oversee the work of Crew Members and other maintenance workers.
  • Prioritize, assign, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate landscape work at commercial properties.
  • Provide on-the-job training to crew members, enabling them to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Make recommendations to the Maintenance Account Manager or Supervisor regarding performance evaluations, discipline, training, job reassignments, and laborer selection.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing the day's schedule with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Oversee jobsites and actively participate in tasks like mowing, edging, weeding, debris removal, pruning, and more.
  • Assess jobsite needs, identify potential issues, and communicate findings to Account Managers.
  • Load and unload power equipment, tools, materials, and debris daily.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of fuel, oil, and coolant for landscape power equipment and vehicles.
  • Wash trucks weekly or as directed by management.
  • Supervise crew's use of safety equipment and ensure safe operation.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
