Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Coordinator provides support to enhance the efficiency of the maintenance department. Responsibilities include assisting the Maintenance Manager with generating and tracking purchase orders, new vendor setup, and acting as a parts runner. The role involves maintaining accurate records and control reports of vendors, and providing clerical and administrative support in JDE. The position requires the ability to interact effectively with all personnel, vendors, contractors, and peers in a team environment. Key functions include establishing, generating, distributing, and tracking work orders to completion, as well as filing completed work orders. The role also involves researching and establishing preventative maintenance practices for facilities and bottling assets, and developing reporting metrics for maintenance work orders. Setting up new vendors, new items, relocating inventory, and creating unexpected arrivals are also part of the responsibilities. The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for creating purchase orders, receiving purchased material, stocking, issuing, and locating inventory using JDE, Excel, and other systems. Ensuring all purchase orders and returns have appropriate documentation attached and filed daily is crucial. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required. The role may involve pricing items with vendors, re-negotiating existing item prices for savings, and following up on open purchase orders and verifying shipments. Tracking parts to and from fabricators and rebuilders, monitoring stock levels, order points, and quantities based on usage, and maintaining monthly usage statistics for 24 months are also key duties. Keeping up with documentation and invoices, maintaining adherence to regulatory documents, driving a company vehicle for parts pick-up and delivery, and corresponding with A/P and vendors to resolve invoice and vendor issues are essential. Establishing and maintaining department cost-effective goals, performing safety and/or environmental inspections, ensuring the hazardous waste area is maintained within SOP, and supporting company policies are also part of the role. Additionally, the position assists in laying out storeroom shelving and bins, and is responsible for kitting project/PM work.
