Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Must have a strong attendance record
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Must be able to work hours outside of the regular shift
- Must have good mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to wear a respirator
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Tool & Die procurement knowledge
- Experience with vendor relationships
- Knowledge and proficiency utilizing CMMS databases, procurement platforms, and scheduling tools
Responsibilities
- Provide technical/administrative support to the Mechanical Trades Support Group directly handling a unique supply chain to include materials and distribution, procurement and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) oversight.
- Under minimal supervision perform varied and complex procurement activities
- Maintain and replenish all maintenance stockroom and VMI supplies
- Coordinate workflow and procurement requirements with off-shift employees
- Work with engineers to review drawings to obtain information regarding procurement
- Communicate delivery changes to suppliers
- Communicate orders to suppliers and prepare purchase orders and purchase requisitions
- Assist with reviewing and preparing monthly reports and audits.
