About The Position

Maintenance Controllers are primarily responsible for determining the priority of action. They must support those priorities in relation to the principal maintenance facility, line stations and contract agencies regarding maintenance requirements; ensuring maintenance and operational requirements are met and the timely dispatch of airworthy aircraft. Requirements

  • Have 1 year of experience in a position responsible returning aircraft to service.
  • Must possess a valid Airframe and Power plant FAA Airman’s Certificate

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Knowledge of Twin Otter DHC-6 preferred
  • 3+ years aviation experience in maintenance control capacity preferred

Responsibilities

  • Promote and foster a safe and secure working and operating environment and the promotion of safety as a core value of the company.
  • Review computerized aircraft maintenance records reports for the scheduling of daily and weekly maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of the mechanical status of all operating flights and the general status of aircraft receiving schedule or un-schedule maintenance at any particular station.
  • Maintain continuous liaison with Flight Dispatch, providing current and continuing reports of mechanical status of entire fleet.
  • Provide necessary monitoring and oversight to deferred maintenance items (MEL and NEF) to assure that deferred maintenance items are scheduled and repaired in a timely Manner.
  • Provide technical assistance to ground and / or flight personnel to assure the prompt handling of mechanical problems. This may include the movement of parts or personnel to facilitate and expedite repairs.
  • Arrange ferry authorization when required in accordance with current existing Company policies and procedures.
  • Coordination and monitoring of MEL extension including completion of company Forms PRO-004 and PRO-006 with accurate information as needed.
  • Collect the data and appropriate information from all reportable mechanical interruptions and submit it to the DQC.
  • Other duties as assigned by the DOM and DQC.
