The Maintenance Control Assistant Manager is responsible for the processes within the Maintenance Control Department. This role involves identifying improvements to departmental processes, submitting revision requests for policy and procedure changes, and scheduling aircraft maintenance performed by Outstation Maintenance. The Assistant Manager ensures adherence to the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) Deferred Maintenance Item (DMI/CDL/COI) process, monitors deferred maintenance items daily for conflicts and timely correction, and participates in the MEL Review Board. They coordinate daily with planning, technical services, and operations managers to prepare Maintenance Action Plans, provide maintenance support for charter operations, and monitor/schedule maintenance for off-route aircraft discrepancies. This role also involves coordinating major schedule changes with Outstations, reporting mechanical difficulties, providing technical assistance, monitoring pilot reports and delay causes, initiating corrective actions for repeat issues, prioritizing open maintenance items, and maintaining a daily data priority for open maintenance items. Additionally, the Assistant Manager monitors LMP status and line station activity, and may delegate duties while retaining overall responsibility.
