External applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Your Role: MilliporeSigma has a current opening as a Maintenance Contract Sales Representative at our Burlington location. Join a fast pace, results driven organization where you will be responsible for the service contract sales of our customer’s existing lab water purification equipment. The position will be a hybrid role and report to the Burlington office.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years’ work experience in a sales/customer facing role or in a scientific lab environment
  • Strong keyboard skills
  • Excellent written, oral and customer interaction skills
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Effectively work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment
  • Highly attentive to detail
  • Ability to work independently, as well within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Chemistry or Biology
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Oracle, Lotus Notes applications, Saleforce.com (or similar CRM system)

Responsibilities

  • Interact with internal and external customers from quotation generation through the Purchase Order processing phase.
  • Generate quotations for new and renewal service agreements for current MilliporeSigma customers.
  • Work independently to manage new and renewal service agreements within a defined geographical territory.
  • Perform research using a variety of different databases, including MilliporeSigma’s customer history database, service management database, contract management database, installation database and financial database.
  • These databases store inquiries and information that MilliporeSigma has received from a customer and/or prospective customer.
  • Work closely with Order Management team to ensure that quotations are entered accurately and follow up regularly to ensure that product is shipped as required.
  • Utilize sales experience to negotiate agreement cost structure for competitive customer agreements, to aid in customer retention, and to minimize loss of business.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with Field Sales and Field Service to obtain orders and grow the service and consumable revenue to meet the established sales target.
