About The Position

This role focuses on the development, enhancement, programming, debugging, troubleshooting, and implementation of existing and new automation systems and machinery. It also involves production support and assisting the maintenance department with troubleshooting production equipment. The position requires adherence to various OSHA safety standards and industry codes such as RIA, NFPA, and ANSI/UL. Continuous learning through classes and training seminars is expected to stay updated with new technologies.

Responsibilities

Development, enhancements, programming, processor back-ups debugging, troubleshooting and implementation of existing and/or new automation systems and machinery.
Production support.
Training, CNC and PLC programming, motion control programming, operator interface programming and fault recovery, robotic, vision and facility systems programming and implementation.
Troubleshooting, integration, programming of automated systems.
Works with Quality in the implementation of defect detection and scrap reduction.
Update existing systems as required.
Follow any other instructions and perform any other duties upon request of the Supervisor.
Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics.
Complies with the current revisions of: RIA ANSI/RIA R15.06 Safety requirements for industrial robots and robot systems NFPA 70 National Electrical Code NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety Requirements for Employee Workplaces NFPA/ANSI 79 Electrical Standard for industrial equipment ANSI/UL 1740 Safety Standard for robots and robotic equipment, and all other applicable standards governing the installation and safety of automated systems.
When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job.
Assists the maintenance department with troubleshooting production equipment.
