About The Position

Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on automated material handling equipment, conveyor systems, robotics, controls, and facility equipment to maximize system reliability and minimize downtime. This role is responsible for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, supporting automation technologies, and partnering with operations to ensure safe and efficient warehouse performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or automated distribution environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting automated conveyor systems, motors, drives, sensors, and electrical controls.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn new automation technologies and accept additional responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • technical degree or industrial maintenance certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred) and HMI systems preferred.
  • experience with CMMS software and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated material handling systems, conveyors, sortation equipment, and robotics.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose issues with sensors, motors, VFDs, photo eyes, barcode scanners, and other automation components.
  • Assist with PLC troubleshooting and work with controls specialists to resolve automation issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, yard trucks, AGV’s and other powered industrial equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document repairs using the maintenance management system.
  • Respond quickly to equipment failures to minimize operational downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment concerns and recommend improvements to increase system reliability.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Support facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, lockout/tagout, and all company safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work scheduled hours, including overtime and on-call support as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
