The Maintenance Automation Technician designs, programs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains automated manufacturing equipment and control systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role involves working with automation, PLCs, robotics, electrical and mechanical systems, and collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to solve equipment challenges and drive continuous improvement. The technician designs and modifies machine controls, robotics, automated systems, and related circuits; builds, installs, repairs, and maintains equipment; and tests, commissions, troubleshoots, and debugs machinery. The position also includes documenting systems, providing technical guidance, coordinating equipment procurement with supervisory approval, and supporting safety, environmental, and quality requirements, including ISO 14001 and IATF 16949. The position operates predominantly on a shop floor or in a warehouse. It requires frequent walking on concrete, and may involve exposure to moderate heat, light dust, fumes, cold temperatures, and noise. Required protective equipment includes hearing, eye, and footwear protection in production areas. The schedule is an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday. The posting gives conflicting shift descriptions: the title says “1st Shift,” while the schedule section says “Evening Shift.”
