About The Position

This role is for a Maintenance Associate at the Atlanta Container facility in Forest Park, GA. The position is full-time and hourly, with a pay rate of $22.60/Hour. The associate will participate in an eighteen (18) month Maintenance Associate Program, which includes on-the-job and online training in mechanical, electrical, and preventive maintenance. The goal is to demonstrate proficiency in all key areas of the training matrix and pass the AON General Mechanic/Journeyman test to advance to a qualified maintenance journeyman/mechanic. The associate must maintain satisfactory performance and progress throughout the program. Responsibilities include assisting qualified mechanics with routine maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, learning to diagnose and repair various systems, completing maintenance records, and working effectively with team members, vendors, and subcontractors. Applicants must be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma (or GED) is required.
  • One to two years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the corrugated or converting industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Participate in the Maintenance Associate Program, completing on-the-job and online training in mechanical, electrical, and preventive maintenance over approximately eighteen (18) months.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all key areas of the Maintenance Associate Training Matrix and pass the AON General Mechanic/Journeyman test to advance to a qualified maintenance journeyman/mechanic.
  • Maintain satisfactory performance and progress throughout the program.
  • Assist qualified mechanics with routine maintenance (e.g., lubrication, inspections, adjustments) and help respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems using appropriate tools, manuals, and schematics.
  • Accurately complete maintenance records and keep supervisors informed of equipment issues and progress.
  • Work effectively with team members, vendors, and subcontractors to meet maintenance goals and support plant operations.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support overall maintenance and production efficiency.
  • Willingness to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.
