Our Courtyard by Marriott in Newark, OH is searching for a Part-Time Maintenance Associate to join our dynamic team at our brand-new location! Requirements

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry, is preferred.
• Hospitality experience is a plus.
• Certifications in plumbing, electrical, and pool maintenance are a plus.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus, climbing stairs, grasping, and pushing/pulling.
• A Valid Driver’s License is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work
• Hospitality experience (we love a team player who’s worked in hotels before!)
• Certifications in plumbing, electrical, and pool maintenance are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handling guestroom and public space repairs
• Helping with renovation projects, electrical, plumbing, HVAC fixes
• Pool and spa maintenance
• Keeping the exterior in top shape – think landscaping, painting, and yes, snow shoveling in winter!
• Quarterly mattress flips and maintaining company vans (if applicable)
