About The Position

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for keeping the store clean, organized, and safe, with a focus on floor care. This includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows, as well as maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms. The associate follows company policies and operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards, and supports a positive customer and store experience. The role is cross-trained across store areas and provides coverage where business needs require it.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

Operate the scrubber and buffer and perform floor-care tasks, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards and the operation and maintenance of the scrubber and buffer.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
