About The Position
Taylorville Skilled Nursing & Rehab is looking for a dependable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our growing team! As a Maintenance Assistant, you will help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff while supporting the daily operations of our skilled nursing facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of maintenance or related experience preferred
- Motivated, organized, and dependable team player
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Passion for supporting residents and contributing to a positive environment
Responsibilities
- Performing routine building maintenance duties including painting, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical repairs, and HVAC maintenance
- Completing maintenance documentation and reporting updates to supervisors
- Responding to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations
- Assisting with maintaining the appearance and functionality of the facility
- Supporting a positive and comfortable environment for residents and staff
