About The Position

This is a temporary Maintenance Technician position in the Amesbury, Massachusetts, area with a fast-growing cannabis company. For the right candidate, this role could convert to a permanent position. The primary responsibility is to assist the Maintenance Manager with routine, emergency, and scheduled maintenance and equipment upkeep in the facility, as well as general facility upkeep. This includes performing basic maintenance tasks such as patching, painting, and using hand tools, inspecting and performing light repairs on doors, railings, lights, and fans, and conducting daily visual inspections. The role also involves ensuring the facility is maintained and repairing equipment malfunctions. The candidate will be expected to use problem-solving skills to drive continuous process improvement, anticipate maintenance, cleaning, and security needs, and develop knowledge of the building's plumbing, irrigation, security, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in maintenance and general repair.
• Experience working with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building equipment.
• Solid communication skills.
• Compliance and safety minded.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Eligibility to work for a licensed Cannabis Company in the State of Massachusetts.
• Ability to work on your feet.
• Ability to lift, carry, & balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
• Ability to perform all tasks safely and with extreme care and caution.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Maintenance Manager with routine, emergency, and scheduled maintenance and equipment upkeep in the facility.
• Upkeep of the facility itself.
• Performing a variety of maintenance functions including basic maintenance like patching, painting, and working with hand tools.
• Inspection and light repair of doors, railings, lights, fans, etc.
• Daily visual inspections.
• Ensuring the facility is maintained.
• Helping to repair any equipment malfunctions.
• Striving for continuous process improvement, including anticipating the maintenance, cleaning, and security needs of the facility.
• Developing knowledge of the building's plumbing, irrigation, security, HVAC, and electrical systems.
