About The Position

We are now hiring for a part-time Maintenance Assistant to join our Learning & Wellness Center Team! This role assists in the maintenance of property and facilities, carrying out specific tasks related to building maintenance and preparation for seasonal changes. Responsibilities include housekeeping, supply distribution, and light exterior maintenance such as washing windows and doors, shoveling, and spreading salt during winter. The position reports to the Site Supervisor.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience required or HS/GED with demonstrated aptitude to develop basic maintenance skills
• Demonstrated aptitude to learn basic maintenance skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
• Ability to organize.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the maintenance of property and facilities.
• Carries out specific tasks regarding maintenance to buildings.
• Assists in preparation of site buildings for the changing uses in summer, fall, winter, and spring.
• Carries out specific duties related to the center, including housekeeping, and distribution of supplies, and other tasks.
• Reports all needs for maintenance repair to Site Supervisor.
• Assists with specific tasks such as cleaning the outside of the property and other light duties such as washing windows and doors, shoveling, and spreading salt during winter.
