About The Position
Our House Assisted Living is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to join their team. This role supports the full-time Maintenance Director in ensuring the community is safe, clean, and comfortable for residents. The position offers a flexible weekday schedule of 25 hours per week, with a starting pay of $17.00 per hour, potentially higher based on experience. The company emphasizes kindness, teamwork, and pride in providing a safe and welcoming home.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance, repairs, and tools
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Experience in maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general building maintenance and repairs
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Help with painting, drywall repair, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs
- Complete work orders promptly
- Maintain the grounds, including seasonal outdoor upkeep
- Move furniture and equipment as needed
- Ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and in good working order
- Assist with emergency maintenance needs when necessary
