About The Position

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Requirements

Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, post-acute care, apartment communities, hotels, or commercial facilities preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid California driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the facility and grounds.
Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs as needed.
Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections throughout the building.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
Maintain equipment, tools, and maintenance supplies in good working condition.
Assist with room turnovers, furniture assembly, and facility improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and facility policies.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment.
Participate in emergency preparedness and facility safety programs.
