About The Position

Join Our Dealership Team! We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Assistant Maintenance Technician to help keep our dealership facilities running smoothly and looking their best. If you take pride in your work, enjoy hands-on tasks, and want to be part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment — we want to hear from you! Schedule: Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM (with occasional on-call evenings and weekends.) This is on site at our Akron Honda dealership but does require travel to our other dealerships throughout the week or as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities repair, or related trades.
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics.
Willingness to travel between sites and respond to off-hour service calls as needed.
Comfortable using basic computer and mobile applications.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors as needed.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow direction.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Regular and predictable attendance is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and plumbing.
Install, troubleshoot, and replace lighting fixtures, switches and outlets.
Assist with basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting (interior/exterior).
Assemble, move, and install furniture and fixtures.
Mount and secure TV's, signage, shelving, and wall fixtures safely and accurately.
Maintain, clean, and organize work areas, storage rooms and tools.
Support renovation or remodeling projects as needed.
Operate power tools, hand tools, ladders, lifts and other maintenance equipment safety.
Coordinate and oversee outside contractors or service vendors when required.
Respond to emergency maintenance calls after hours or on weekends when on-call
Travel between multiple sites or locations, even overnights as needed.
