The Maintenance Assistant/Driver is responsible for servicing assigned areas in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility. They will perform routine, repetitive tasks to ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Requirements

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

Service assigned areas in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility.
Perform routine, repetitive tasks to ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Assemble materials and supplies from the supply room and transport them to the work area.
Maintain apartments, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living rooms.
Routinely check the work order list for possible changes in assignment.
Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions, spills, excess carts, baskets, supplies, equipment, etc.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines as outlined by the facility and the Director of Maintenance.
Maintain dignity and respect for residents’ personal and property rights.
Drive the bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays for resident doctor appointments.
