About The Position

Home2 Suites by Hilton - Orlando Near UCF is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join their team. This is a part-time, entry-level position responsible for the upkeep of the hotel property, assisting the Chief Engineer. The hotel is an all-suites property located near the University of Central Florida, offering amenities such as in-suite kitchens, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center. The hotel is managed by Buffalo Lodging Associates, an award-winning hotel management company.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing buildings.
• Hotel experience is a plus.
• Electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance skills required.
• Ability to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs.
• Requires reaching overhead, climbing, crouching, and twisting.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Assist with pool operations and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain indoor and outdoor grounds.
• Service fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and record maintenance in log books.
• Maintain and service pool and spa areas, including testing and recording as per regulations.
• Clean internal areas of buildings, including sweeping, mopping, and removing garbage.
• Maintain cleanliness of public and storage areas, as well as the parking lot.
