About The Position

Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds by performing various duties. This role involves responding to work orders, performing groundskeeping, cleaning, painting, repairing structures, operating equipment, and assisting other departments. The position requires flexibility to work some weekends and evenings.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must show MVR with “0” points and present at the time of hire.
• Must be flexible to work some Saturdays and Sundays for our banquets.
• This position requires the use of a personal cell phone to be utilized during work hours (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm).
• Regularly required to stand and walk.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be ok with using ladders and working off platforms and roofs.

Responsibilities

• Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
• Cuts grass and trims weeds on the organization's property.
• Cleans internal areas of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
• Empties trash cans.
• Paints interior and exterior walls and trim.
• Repair parking lot and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
• Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
• Repairs or replaces buildings with brick, stone, and concrete.
• Maintains and repairs wood parts of buildings.
• Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses and belts in machines and equipment, such as trucks and riding mowers.
• Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
• Sets up rooms for banquets and cleans rooms after banquets.
• Other duties may be assigned.
