About The Position
Cypress Ridge Care Center is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep and safety of our facility. This role is essential in ensuring a comfortable, clean, and well-maintained environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience preferred, ideally in healthcare or a similar setting
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building upkeep)
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspections
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
- Maintain grounds, common areas, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Assist with moving equipment, setting up rooms, and other facility needs
- Keep maintenance logs and report issues as needed
