About The Position

Valley View Retirement Community is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the safety of residents, staff, and property. The role monitors building security, performs light custodial and maintenance tasks, and assists staff and residents as needed. The position contributes to a safe and welcoming community environment. It is part-time, scheduled from 3 PM to 11 PM, four days per pay period, including every weekend and rotating holidays. The job is located at Valley View in Belleville, Pennsylvania.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to operate a company vehicle safely.
Basic custodial and maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct building rounds to ensure doors are locked, security systems are operational, and unauthorized personnel are not present.
Monitor and investigate unusual observations, taking appropriate action or reporting them as necessary.
Complete door lock and security checklists to document rounds.
Patrol Valley View Village and parking lots using a company vehicle, assisting as needed and identifying repair needs.
Escort staff safely to their vehicles upon request.
Open buildings for authorized entries.
Perform light custodial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash in assigned areas.
Promptly report accidents, incidents, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Make minor repairs or submit maintenance requests as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
