About The Position

Good Shepherd Home is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to join their team in Seymour, WI. This role is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the facility and grounds are well-maintained and operational. The position offers a starting wage of $22.00+ per hour, depending on experience, and is a day shift position working 80 hours per two-week pay period. The Maintenance Assistant is delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to carry out assigned duties.

Requirements

Ability to receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from supervisor.
Ability to perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc.
Ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on facility and equipment including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.
Ability to clean windows and screens.
Ability to replace burned out light bulbs.
Ability to service heating and cooling units/systems.
Ability to perform unscheduled maintenance tasks.
Ability to clean assigned areas and equipment.

Responsibilities

Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from supervisor and as per established maintenance policies and procedures.
Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, polishing, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed.
Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, per established procedures.
Clean windows and screens as directed.
Replace burned out light bulbs, to include: exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties wherever necessary.
Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, per established policies and procedures.
Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
Clean assigned areas, equipment as directed.
Other related duties as assigned.
