About The Position

The Maintenance Assistant at Granite Hill Estates plays a crucial role in crafting comfort and ensuring safety within the community. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role involves a variety of tasks, including fixing small problems and performing important proactive maintenance to keep buildings and equipment in good working order and appearance. The Maintenance Department is dedicated to making the community a great place for residents, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Eagerness to learn (prior fixing experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance to stop problems before they happen.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Attention to detail and careful problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to making a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
  • Must pass a criminal background screening.
  • Must show valid proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 before commencing work or commit to obtaining full vaccination within 30 days of commencing work, unless an approved exemption is received.

Responsibilities

  • Fix both small and big problems to keep our community running smoothly.
  • Do regular maintenance to make sure everything looks nice and is comfortable for residents and staff.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Director to update them on systems, issues and remedies.
  • Quickly and effectively respond to maintenance requests to keep residents safe and happy.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized, and always follow safety rules.
