About The Position

Our assisted living community is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, their families and our community. The Maintenance Assistant provides ongoing preventative maintenance and resident assistance, building and grounds maintenance, troubleshooting maintenance problems and various related tasks as assigned. Performs most tasks independently with occasional assistance of outside vendor. Is available to respond to maintenance emergencies that may arise outside of regular working hours.

Requirements

• Prior experience in building maintenance.
• Knowledge of Plumbing, including but not limited to design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.
• Knowledge of HVAC, including but not limited to general principles of HVAC and heat pump operation/mechanics, and refrigeration.
• Knowledge of Electricity, including but not limited to wiring, voltage, amperage.
• Knowledge of Mechanics, including but not limited to design/operation of engines.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
