About The Position

We are seeking talented individuals to join our care giving team at Florence Home. Qualified candidates must have a passion for working with the elderly and be committed to upholding our core values of Integrity, Dignity, Teamwork, and Compassion.

Requirements

• Prior experience in drywall repair, painting and general maintenance and have knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical repair, and use of grounds care equipment
• Be able to lift 75 pounds from ground to waist level and able to push or pull 100 pounds.
• Be able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have a valid in good standing driver’s license and a clean criminal record
• Arrive on time and work as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Repair drywall and paint as needed or at the direction of your supervisor
• Maintain building grounds, including lawn care, snow removal and general outdoor upkeep
• Perform maintenance tasks for all buildings, equipment and grounds including basic plumbing and electrical repair
• Cooperate to ensure that maintenance staff is on call 24 hours a day.
• Go above and beyond your assigned duties to help with any reasonable resident or teammate request
