About The Position

Miller’s Health Systems is hiring a part-time Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the facility’s physical plant, property, and grounds. The role contributes to the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of patients and visitors by helping keep the facility functioning properly and presentable. The Maintenance Assistant follows safety, infection-control, company, and other applicable standards; works from a task list; and communicates professionally with other departments, patients, families, and staff.

The schedule is 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with on-call work every other weekend. The stated pay is $20 per hour.

Requirements

• Have a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and heating systems, and general maintenance ability.
• Be willing to learn and follow all required safety standards.
• Be committed to delivering great customer service.
• Be able to work as part of a dedicated team.
• Maintain professional and appropriate appearance, conversation, and behavior.
• Successfully complete the pre-employment process and screening.
• Be able to pass a physical examination for employment at the facility.
• Satisfactorily complete required orientation and training.
• Be able to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
