About The Position
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our senior living community. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, and staff.
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs
- Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with seniors is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with general building maintenance and repairs
- Complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks throughout the community
- Assist with painting, light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and grounds maintenance
- Ensure common areas and exterior spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Help maintain compliance with safety regulations and community standards
- Participate in emergency response and on-call duties as assigned
- Work respectfully and courteously with residents, families, and team members
