About The Position
Chandler Creek Post Acute is a 133-bed skilled nursing facility located in Greer, South Carolina. We are known for our small-town feel, strong community connections, and a team-centered approach to care. We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to help ensure our facility remains safe, functional, and welcoming for our residents, staff, and visitors. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will support the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility, helping ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.
Requirements
- General “jack-of-all-trades” maintenance experience required
- Compassion and respect for the elderly and medically fragile population
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to complete a background check
Nice To Haves
- Maintenance experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
- Ensure facility equipment and systems are functioning properly
- Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents
- Maintain a safe and compliant environment in accordance with regulations
- Assist with groundskeeping and facility upkeep as needed
