About The Position

Harmony at Savannah is seeking a dependable, motivated Full-Time Van Driver / Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with seniors, takes pride in maintaining a safe and attractive community, and values being part of a supportive team. This full-time role is approximately: 50% Resident Transportation (Van Driver) 50% Maintenance Assistance. The successful candidate will safely transport residents to appointments, outings, and scheduled activities while also assisting with the upkeep, maintenance, and appearance of our community.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
Previous maintenance experience required.
Ability to safely operate a passenger van.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in senior living, hospitality, or healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

Safely transport residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, and community outings.
Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
Maintain transportation schedules and documentation.
Perform routine inspections and ensure the community vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition.
Assist with general building maintenance and repairs.
Complete work orders in a timely manner.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
Help maintain the grounds, common areas, and exterior appearance of the community.
Assist with painting, light plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC maintenance, and other general maintenance duties as assigned.
