About The Position

Weinstein Properties is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Assistant Supervisor for their property in Cary, NC. This is a "working" lead role where the individual will assist with managing and coordinating a service team to ensure efficient upkeep, inventory, and repair of grounds and buildings. The team diagnoses and repairs issues in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances. The role also involves assisting with scheduling and supervising in-house and vendor work, and sharing on-call duties. The effective performance of the service team is crucial for maximizing rents and maintaining high occupancy through professional maintenance practices, quality control, and adherence to policies. The service team is customer service-driven, aiming to create a positive influence on visitors, prospects, and residents. Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years trade-related experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on apartment maintenance supervisory experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance.
  • EPA/CFC Refrigerant certification required (Type I and II or Universal).
  • Hands-on HVAC repair experience required.
  • Computer skills: use business software to assign and manage work orders, schedule turns, order supplies and communicate via email.
  • Willing to share on-call with other team members.
  • Valid driver's license, transportation and tools required.
  • Must pass DMV and background/criminal check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing and coordinating activities of a service team to ensure that all upkeep, inventory and repair of grounds and buildings of the property are completed in an efficient manner.
  • Diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural and appliances.
  • Assist with scheduling and directly supervising all in-house and/or vendor work.
  • Share on-call duties with other team members.
  • Follow professional maintenance practices, use quality control, and follow policies/procedures.
  • Provide customer service to residents.
