About The Position

Allegro Parkland, a senior living community, is hiring two Full-Time associates for AM and overnight shifts. The AM shift is for a Maintenance Assistant, responsible for completing work orders, light repairs, painting, plumbing, and general maintenance, supporting preventative maintenance, and ensuring the community is safe and functional. The overnight shift is for a Floor Care Technician, responsible for carpet cleaning, extraction, stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing hard surface floors to maintain the community's appearance. The work contributes to the comfort of residents, and associates are part of a supportive, close-knit team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year maintenance-related experience including working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
  • Must be an independent worker with effective communication skills able to multi-task and be organized.
  • Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.
  • If assigned driving responsibilities, the associate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company Fleet Safety standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior maintenance, floor care, custodial, or facilities experience
  • Technical school diploma preferred.
  • HVAC and other related maintenance certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work orders, light repairs, painting, plumbing, and general maintenance
  • Support preventative maintenance throughout the community
  • Keep the community safe, functional, and well-maintained throughout your shift
  • Perform carpet cleaning and extraction throughout the community
  • Strip, wax, buff, and polish hard surface floors
  • Execute deep-cleaning floor care projects with precision and ownership
  • Assist the Maintenance Director (MD) in maintaining and operating the physical aspects of the Property.
  • Assist the MD to ensure that the Community is always covered in the event of an emergency.
  • Assist the MD in the preventative and routine maintenance programs to ensure that mechanical equipment, building structures and grounds are properly maintained.
  • Assist the MD in the safe operation of all mechanical equipment through routine physical inspections.
  • Assist MD to ensure that all maintenance work and storage areas are maintained in a safe, organized, and clean manner.
  • Assist MD in maintaining online work order system, efficiently use the system and help delegate work orders to staff.
  • Follow OSHA and Company guidelines relating to lock down and tag out procedures that are approved for the Community and follow OSHA standards for safe working procedures.
