About The Position

Eastcastle Place is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, employees, and visitors. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, can work independently, and takes pride in keeping spaces looking their best. We are seeking a Floor Care Technician to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of flooring throughout our senior living and nursing facility. You will be responsible for the ongoing care and maintenance of flooring throughout our community.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous floor care, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred
Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques a plus (training provided)
Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dependability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment

Responsibilities

Clean, maintain, and restore floor surfaces including vinyl, tile, carpet, and other materials
Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and shampooing carpets
Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively
Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and infection control protocols
Use cleaning chemicals properly and in accordance with safety guidelines
Identify floor damage or safety concerns and report them promptly
Maintain storage areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner
Work respectfully and professionally around residents, families, and care staff
