About The Position

As a Maintenance Apprentice, you will assist with the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment across our chain of grocery stores. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in various aspects of maintenance work, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs. The Maintenance Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced maintenance personnel and gain the skills necessary for a successful career in facilities management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
18 years of age or older.
Ability to lift and carry over 25 pounds, sometimes exceeding 100 pounds.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with team members and store staff.
Strong work ethic.
Reliability.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoors and outdoors, and in varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field.
Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail.
Previous experience in maintenance or a similar facilities role.
Bilingual (Spanish/English).

Responsibilities

Assist with the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
Gain hands-on experience and training in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
Work under the guidance of experienced maintenance personnel.
Troubleshoot and repair building systems.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Perform manual tasks.
Additional tasks as necessary to support store operations.
