About The Position

The Maintenance Apprentice is responsible for assisting the maintenance department with repairing and maintaining the machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role involves supporting maintenance technicians in installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks. The apprentice will also be involved in dismantling machinery, completing maintenance paperwork, and maintaining a clean work area. Special projects and duties may be assigned by the maintenance supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic tools to perform the above tasks
• Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools
• Lock out / tag out certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in machine maintenance (as helper), building maintenance, preventative maintenance and/or basic electrical

Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance techs engaged in installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance in the assigned area.
• Dismantle machinery or equipment using common hand, power, and industrial tools to examine parts for defects and repair or replacement.
• Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager.
