About The Position

This role is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and scissor lifts for loading, unloading, and working at various heights. The technician will maintain company grounds, outside areas, and waste storage areas, ensuring they are kept neat and clean. A key responsibility includes promptly notifying supervisors of any detected leaks or spills. The position also involves performing repairs, renovations, and installations related to buildings and facilities, including painting, carpentry, plastering, plumbing, and electrical work. This includes maintaining and repairing HVAC or drainage systems, plumbing fixtures, and simple electrical systems, as well as testing and troubleshooting electrical systems. The role requires adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, support for continuous improvement activities, and a commitment to teamwork.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years maintenance or related experience.
  • Basic electrical, plumbing, structural repair, maintenance and installation.
  • Ability to read/understand written instructions, basic blueprints/schematics.
  • Create written reports.
  • Ability to work effectively with both employees and managers.
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image at the work place.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain productivity levels that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Ability to successfully manage time/projects.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability.

Nice To Haves

  • High-school or equivalent preferred
  • Certified Electrician preferred for level III and IV

Responsibilities

  • Operates powered industrial truck (forklift) to load and unload material.
  • Operates scissor lift to work at various heights.
  • Maintains company grounds and outside areas in neat and orderly fashion.
  • Removes waste, debris and other related materials from company grounds.
  • Ensures outside manufacturing waste storage areas are kept neat and clean.
  • Notifies Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, EHS Manager, or HR Manager immediately upon detecting leakage or spills.
  • Connecting electric appliances, motors, lighting, devices and equipment.
  • Performs repairs, renovation or installation to buildings and facilities, including painting, carpentry, plastering, plumbing or electrical power.
  • Repairs or replaces valves, fixtures and fittings in HVAC or drainage systems.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs sinks, toilets, water heaters and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Replaces faucets, broken pipes, caulks leaks, opens clogged drains and makes other minor plumbing repairs.
  • Checks and replaces broken/faulty electrical switches, sockets and other simple elements of electrical systems.
  • Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Installing struts, electrical conduit, MC cable, etc.
  • Observes and complies with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Supports continuous improvement activities (VES).
  • Maintains a commitment to teamwork and a positive, supportive attitude to all personnel.
