About The Position

The Maintenance and PM Tech performs maintenance and preventive maintenance in compliance with local, state, and federal laws, codes, and regulations, as well as Hospital policies and safety directives. The role maintains and repairs hospital facility systems and equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, generators, motors, laundry equipment, and air, steam, water, gas, and oil line systems. The position is located at St. Joe's Hospital in the Facility Engineering department and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Sunday nights.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
At least two years of experience in general and preventive maintenance work, including boiler plant operations.

Nice To Haves

7G Pesticide License desired.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, chillers, and associated pumps and equipment.
Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs without supervision.
Work on generators, motors, and automatic recording and control mechanisms.
Change belts and pulleys on motors, adjust motor clutches, and change electric motors.
Assist with repairs to air, steam, water, gas, and oil line systems.
Maintain laundry equipment throughout the Hospital complex.
Replace call cords and repair door closers for Hospital patient rooms.
Inspect air intake sources, screens, and filters, with special attention to high-risk areas, in accordance with departmental procedures.
