Maintenance and Millwright Supervisor - Location Flexible
About The Position
The Maintenance and Millwright Supervisor uses hands-on mechanical skills and leadership abilities to maintain equipment and lead a skilled maintenance team across several locations. The position provides mechanical upkeep for machinery and oversees projects at facilities such as grain elevators and feed mills, ensuring equipment operates properly and safely. The supervisor also coordinates team resources and priorities and may assist other departments during peak seasons by loading and unloading agronomy and grain products. The position may be based at a flexible Farmers Cooperative location, depending on the individual. It qualifies for a first-year retention bonus.
Responsibilities
- Provide mechanical upkeep for machinery, including work involving welding, fabrication, mechanics, basic construction, electrical, plumbing, preventative maintenance, millwright work, and hydraulics.
- Lead, recruit, develop, and oversee a team of millwrights by providing direction, training, coaching, and support to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality work.
- Schedule and oversee projects at different facilities, including grain elevators and feed mills.
- Coordinate team resources and priorities and ensure equipment is operating properly and safely.
- Operate single- and double-axle trucks, forklifts, scales, augers, skid steers, construction equipment, application equipment, and front-end loaders.
- Assist other departments during peak demand seasons, including loading and unloading agronomy and grain products.
