About The Position

This is a Military Technician position with the 99th Readiness Division, Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) 160 located in New Windsor, New York. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
  • This position requires a valid State Driver's License.
  • This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation.
  • One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves 1) utilizing automated systems to schedule and track repairs or work requests; 2) maintaining supply logs or production control records; and 3) conducting inventory of supplies, tools, or parts.
  • Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This position requires a 1 year probationary period or two year trial period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.
  • Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily reports to monitor shop equipment database.
  • Spearhead formal and informal training to the organization
  • Maintain accountability of administrative actions.
  • Review inventory of supply operations for discrepancies.
  • Organize shop tools to distribute appropriately to employees.
