About The Position
This position is for a Maintenance 1 role located in Danville. The role involves working independently and reporting any problems to the Crew Leader. Key responsibilities include adhering to basic first aid and safety protocols, including the use of proper safety gear. The job also entails general property upkeep such as picking up papers, branches, and debris, performing landscape inspections to identify dead plants, and conducting visual checks of the property. Specific tasks include hand weeding, planting shrubs and trees (1 to 5 gallons), tree staking and guying, flower planting, detailing annuals, and vine tying. The role also involves identifying and caring for the 'Plant of the Week'. Equipment operation includes various mowers (21”, 36”, 48”), blowers, edgers, string line trimmers, hedge trimmers, riding mowers/lasers, and aerators. Other duties include hand watering, manual shut-off of the mainline (RPVB), head adjustment and repairs, pest identification (up to 5 types), snail bait application, and selective pruning of trees under 15 feet. Accurate time reporting, including reviewing and signing time cards, is also required.
