This role provides support for overall maintenance duties and responsibilities for the 2nd shift production (4:00 PM – 2:30 AM). The position involves performing electromechanical analysis and repair of equipment with multi-functional use, maintaining facilities upkeep of grounds, building, fixtures, and general maintenance duties. It also supports routine equipment maintenance for safety, quality, and preventative maintenance needs, and assists in maintenance shop activities within the scope of authority to gain experience for advancement potential. The role requires performing preventative maintenance checks and inspections on time, ensuring proper documentation is completed, and spare parts are accurately maintained and identified for rapid response to problems. Evaluating equipment malfunctions with urgency to minimize downtime, modifying equipment to improve safety, quality, productivity, and reliability, and performing tasks in a quality fashion to meet internal customer requirements are key aspects of this position. The role also includes performing welding and metal fabrication duties, following and promoting on-the-job safety expectations (eyes, ears, and L.O.T.O.), maintaining proper housekeeping, testing equipment after repair, leaving the work area clean and safe, and training operators on the proper use of equipment.
