This role is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing moderate to complex equipment problems. The mechanic will read blueprints, understand plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. They will also understand the basic principles of extrusion and production processes and materials used. Welding, installation, modification, and operation of production equipment are key duties, as is performing mold changes and modifications. The position requires adherence to plant preventative maintenance procedures, data entry and analysis using the Maintenance Management System (OOPS), and participation in plant safety/housekeeping guidelines. Compliance with SQF/HACCP requirements is also essential. The role requires the ability to work night shifts (5:45 PM - 6:00 AM) and every other weekend.
