About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment to support safe and reliable operations. The mechanic will troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions, inspect, adjust, and repair production machinery and mechanical systems, and collaborate with plant operations to minimize downtime and maintain workflow efficiency. Accurate documentation of work performed and materials used is also required.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Commitment to safe work practices and contributing to a strong safety culture.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency using basic tools, equipment, and maintenance technologies.
