About The Position

This role focuses on the migration of mainframe scheduling products to IBM Z Workload Scheduler. The specialist will be responsible for supporting the migration process, monitoring and troubleshooting workloads, analyzing scheduling reports, documenting activities, and collaborating with various teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Mainframe z/OS / OS/390.
• 5+ years of hands-on IBM Z Workload Scheduler / Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
• Strong TSO/ISPF experience.
• Excellent JCL knowledge.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with batch scheduling migration/conversion is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of CA-7, CA-ESP, BMC Control-M, Jobtrac, Zeke/Zebb is a plus.
• Experience with Dynamic Workload Console (DWC) is advantageous.
• REXX or Workload Automation Programming Language experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support migration of existing Mainframe scheduling products to IBM Z Workload Scheduler.
• Monitor and troubleshoot workloads using ISPF.
• Analyze scheduling reports and identify migration issues/corrective actions.
• Document migration activities and solutions.
• Collaborate with project teams, customers, contractors, and internal technical teams.
