About The Position

This role serves as a core member of the team supporting Recall and Software FSA applications. The developer will provide on-call and production support, ensuring system stability and timely issue resolution. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining COBOL, JCL, DB2, and related mainframe components, supporting mandatory compliance and feature enhancements for Software FSA initiatives, and managing/prioritizing backlog items. The position involves collaborating with product teams for business and customer value delivery and participating in the modernization journey toward GCP migration. Systems support activities such as security, audit, and maintenance tasks are also part of the role, along with executing unit and integration testing and troubleshooting production incidents with urgency and independence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in development
  • Strong hands-on experience in Mainframe systems development
  • Advanced proficiency in at least one or more of the following: COBOL (IMS), JCL, DB2, CA7 scheduling, COBOL Stored Procedures, Batch and real-time processing systems
  • Experience with system-to-system integrations, including: z/OS Connect, SFTP, SOAP and REST APIs
  • Experience with source control tools such as Endevor and GitHub
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in production and incident environments
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities based on business impact
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Experience with unit testing and integration testing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with BigQuery
  • Familiarity with mainframe database environments and modernization patterns
